GIVEAWAY!!! Filofax Apex!

My little corner of the internet has reached 15 followers on bloglovin! And whilst this may be an everyday occurrence for some established bloggers for me it is quite the milestone! In order to honour this I have decided to give away one of the lovely Filofax's I own in my collection!
I have decided to give away a Personal Pink Apex to the lucky winner! The binder is currently empty but worry not it will come with plenty of inserts and goodies for you!
Here is a picture of the Filofax:

 And from the side:

The giveaway will run for a month and I am will post worldwide so anybody can enter! As Filofax fans will know you can use a Filofax for much more than a diary, here are some of my favourite options:

1. Blog Planning- keep a track of your ideas for posts, record follower milestones, keep a copy of your posting schedule if you have one and so on...

2- Budgeting- a Filofax is a really easy way of keeping track of your spending and make sure that you keep on top of your finances!

3- A journal- keep a track of how you were feeling and what you were thinking at particular milestones in your life!

The list is endless! What would you use the Filofax for if you won?

To enter you need to follow this blog on bloglovin (theres a handy little button in the sidebar for you to do so) and you also need to comment on the blog post with your email address so I can contact the winner! If you don't want your email address to be public then you can send me an email (find it under he contacts tab) and just comment on the post saying you have emailed (to appease the little widget thingy)

I've set up a Rafflecopter giveaway which you can find below! Good Luck!

Piccolo Pixie Advent Challenge Day 4 and 5!

Woops I missed a day again! Yesterday I did an incredibly long shift in the Library in an attempt to make headway on my coursework and completely forgot all about the challenge! Sorry guys!

Day 4: Frosty the Snowman
Frosty the Snowman again reminds me of my childhood Christmas times and I swear the used to be a frosty the snowman sweet?! Can anyone else vouch for this or am I just making it up?!

Day 5: Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!
Well the weather outside today is certainly frightful but not in the snowing sense (sadly!) Every time I listen to this song I find myself hoping that it snows (you can tell that I don't drive!) but unfortunately the place that I live very rarely snows and if it does then there is just about enough to scrape together a snowman! Although last year at university there was plenty of snow at one point.... but typically I had the flu and so could only enjoy it from my window! Heres hoping for more snow this year! (Yes I am dreaming of a White Christmas....)

What do these songs mean to you?

Piccolo Pixie Advent Challenge- Day Two and Three

Day Two: Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
This song again reminds me again of those beloved primary school Christmas seasons and making those awfully tacky reindeer themed Christmas gifts for your family that they dutifully and lovingly hung pride of place in their homes and showed off to all of their friends that came round to visit over the Christmas season.

Day Three: Merry Christmas Everyone
Merry Christmas everyone has to be one of my all time favourite Christmas songs it is just one of those all time classic songs that needs to be played over and over in order for it to be officially Christmas! I have very fond memories of making mince pies, wrapping presents and cutting up vegetables for Christmas dinner with this song on in the background.

What do these songs remind you of? And remember it is not too late to take part in the challenge yourself!

Tuesday Things That Excite Me #3- No more exams for a month!

This past few weeks I have frantically been cramming for my assessed interviews for one of my university modules and I have just now gotten back from finishing the last one! Phew big sigh of relief there!  Now all that is left is for me to my finish coursework before I can officially start to get excited about going home for Christmas!

As most university students are well aware between mid module exams, end of term exams and post January exams it seems that there is constantly an exam just around the corner requiring countless hours in the Library fuelling yourself with dangerous amounts of caffeine just to try and get a decent mark and come out with a decent degree you can be proud of on the other side.

Despite having coursework to finish off I am giving myself the afternoon off for a well earned rest before recommencing with the hard work tomorrow. As I have mentioned before on my blog I have a bad habit of pushing myself too hard and burning out as a result of it so I feel that it is important for me to make sure that I am refreshed before starting the work once more.

What about you? How many exams do you all have left to finish off before the Christmas break?

My Week #8

This week has been pretty crazy despite the lack of lectures! I have two major pieces of coursework that I need to get done and all I seem to have the motivation to do is watch Gossip Girl! I've had my original for just over a month now and I am absolutely loving it! It fits really well in most of my handbags and it doesn't get too full overly quickly!

I finally got a chance to see the latest instalment of the Hunger Games this week and it was really as good as everybody is saying it is, so if you haven't seen it yet then I really recommend that you do!

I went home for the weekend and it was really nice to be able to spend some quality time with my boyfriend and family, especially my nan.

December started this week too, when did it get so close to Christmas?!

What did you all get up to this week?

Christmas Wishlist 2013

1) Hunter Socks- I am the kind of girl who loves her hunter wellies but on my recent field trip I found my toes getting numb in them and so I decided that it was about time I got my very own pair of welly socks. Hunter have so many cute designs on their website but I have to admit that these cable knit ones are my favourite at the moment.

2) A watch- This watch took my eye but really any pretty watch would be great! I've been trying to be a better student lately and spend more time in the library but the only form of clock I have in there is my phone which proves to be more of a distraction than a help.

3) A lamy safari fountain pen in red- I've been toying with the idea of getting back into writing in fountain pen again recently and I have heard such great reviews about this pen that if I'm going to rekindle my love affair with ink, I would love for it to be in this pen!

4) Fossil Tote bag- I actually don't own a decent Tote bag which is something that I really need to sort out soon! I love love love everything that Fossil designs and so I couldn't think of a better place to start when looking for a Tote bag!

5) A minion mug (and while Santa is at it, Despicable Me 2 please!) - self explanatory, no?

6) A 5 year Question and Answer Book- I love the idea of keeping a track of my thoughts over the next 5 years but I always worry that I wouldn't know what to write and so this is the perfect solution for me! Also having OCD I would want to start the book on the 1st of January so this really does make the ideal christmas present for me!

7) A Christmas Carol clothbound classic book- my housemate collects these books and they are absolutely gorgeous and I have to admit that I really am rather jealous! I mean just look at those covers!

8) This is a moleskine carry book for my iPhone that has a notebook in it for jotting down random bits of information I need to remember without the faff of going through my entire phone to find the right app to put it in

9)Fancy hot chocolate! Because who doesn't love a good hot chocolate, especially sat infront of the fire looking at the christmas tree!

So that is my wishlist for this year, what is everybody else hoping Santa brings down the chimney for them?!?

Piccolo Pixie Advent Challenge- Introduction and Day One

The wonderful Lydia has started a really cool Advent challenge over on her blog and as I am super excited about it being the festive season, so much so that I'm already wearing my Christmas jumper!, I thought it would be a great thing to take part in!

Here is the list of all of the songs for the different days of Advent and you can read the original post on Lydia's blog here :)

So the first song for the challenge is Jingle Bells and I have to admit that the first thing that came to my head when I heard this song is very similar to what Lydia said!! It reminds me a lot of  Primary school plays and practising for numerous Christmas concerts where all the kids sing wildly out of tune and all of the parents film it for future embarrassment purposes! Now that it is December it is socially acceptable for me to listen to my Christmas playlist and so it will be interesting to see how many of these songs are on it!!

Happy Advent all!
